The modern series of quilts explore improvisational piecing and free hand cutting – whenever possible, cutting shapes without the aid of a ruler. Thus, I am able to make my marks throughout the quilt with the edges of the shapes. This process results in a “mod” look, the look I love from the late 60’s and 70’s.
